On the occasion of the inauguration of the new Cikarang plant, Piaggio Indonesia also showed off a special edition Vespa.

Autos.id – On Wednesday (23/11/2022) PT Piaggio Indonesia finally inaugurated a new factory in Cikarang, West Java.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by some prominent personalities such as Michele Colaninno (Chief Executive of Product and Global Strategy of the Piaggio Group), Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita (Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia) and the Italian Ambassador in Indonesia, HE Benedetto Latteri.

In an official statement taken from various sources, Marco Noto La Diega as Country Head of PT Piaggio Indonesia revealed that the establishment of the new Cikarang plant is a form of Vespa’s commitment in Indonesia, where the LX 125 i- Get was the first to produce.

There is something unique about the LX 125 i-Get model because PT Piaggio Indonesia sports the Batik Special Edition. However, PT Piaggio Indonesia did not explain how many units would be produced, even though it was confirmed that the bike would be sold in a limited time.

Based on information from various sources, the Vespa LX 125 i-Get Batik Special Edition has only one color, Green Relax, where the batik motif is seen as a package with the bike and accessories such as trunk back and helmet.

The batik motif inspired by the special edition of the Vespa LX 125 i-Get is instead the “Tambal Jagad” motif, a symbol of diversity.

If you look in more detail, the batik pattern appears on the front tie, center bridge and extends to the bottom of the back tepong and also the bottom of the top box.

The batik motifs of this special edition of Vespa LX 125 i-Get are:
• Kalimantan shield motif.
• Megamendung motif from West Java.
• Papuan Kusuari chicken motif.
• Sokowani motif from Sumatra.
• Menjangan Ikat weaving pattern from Nusa Tenggara.
• Central Java Kawung motif.
• Poleng motif from Bali.

This bike is instead equipped with a 124.5 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve injection engine capable of delivering 7.6 kW at 7,600 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. However, for the price, PT Piaggio Indonesia did not provide any information.
