ROCKMOTIVE, Jakarta – PT AstraHonda engine (AHH) that is Andi Gilan managed to raise the red and white flag for the victory of the championship Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2022 season in the Supersport (SS)600 class. Not only that, other AHM-assisted riders also managed to make Indonesia proud at this season’s ARRC event.
Andi Farid Izdihar, better known as Andi Gilang, managed to score his first podium in two races, as well as making history as Indonesian pilot the first to win the ARRC SS600 class title.
The ARRC title in the SS600 class is a proud achievement resulting from the development of young Indonesian riders, who started at the Astra Honda Racing School, to lead the way in various racing events.
With experience in the competitive GP world championship (Moto2 and Moto3), Andi’s highest title at the ARRC is also a confirmation of his ability to qualify on the international track. This title is also history for the Astra Honda Racing Team who managed to win the championship in the prestigious ARRC class.

Andi Gilang with a Honda CBR600RR bike, really showed his fangs in the latest ARRC series. In the first race on Saturday (11/19), the rider from Bulukumba, South Sulawesi looked very impressive.
Starting from second position, he had slipped up several positions. But in the middle of the race he managed to go even further, he was able to overcome the resistance of his rivals and occupy the top step of the podium.
In the second race on Sunday (20/11), Andi still performed well. Realizing he is 14 points behind the points leader, he must reclaim the top podium finish and score another 25 points. The effort was successful, coming up on a wet and slippery track, Andi survived until the last lap when he had to be overtaken by a Thai rider.
Speaking of experience, Andi was able to regain the leading position and secure the second race with a win, once again proclaiming Indonesia Raya, as well as securing the title.

This win was so dramatic, because with the results from the last race, the points earned by Andi Gilang equaled the previous points leader. But Andi was declared the winner of the SS600 class because he collected more race victories.
“What a beautiful race. I try to keep the right pace, I maintain concentration so as not to make mistakes. Even up to the last lap, when I lost the lead, I still tried to be calm and seize the opportunities that were there. Finally at the last corner I was able to recover the position well and finish first. The double winner and the determination of the Asian champion are the best moments of my racing career,” said Andy after the race.
