Daihatsu Ayla last outing in Malaysia Indonesia When?

The latest version of Daihatsu Ayla or Perodua Axia is reportedly launching soon in Malaysia.

Autos.id – News regarding the presence of the Daihatsu Ayla 2023 is getting louder. Now the information is circulating through the neighboring country, Malaysia, which also sells the car.

Reporting from Wapcar Malaysia, Perodua has started the trial production phase on the latest generation Axia (the version of Ayla in Malaysia) before mass production starts. It is reported that Perodua Axia 2023 will be released soon in February and of course there are changes with the times.

From the same source, Perodua Axia 2023 is offered in 6 variants, with tags starting at RM24,090 (about IDR84 million) to RM43,190 (IDR150 million). The base model of the latest Malaysian version of the Daihatsu Ayla is the Perodua Axia E 1.0 MT, the higher priced and higher variant of which is the Perodua Axia AV 1.0 AT.

Use the DNGA platform

DNGA (Daihatsu New Global Architecture) is reportedly owned by the latest generation of Ayla. The design also undergoes changes with a longer and lower body than the previous version.

Also, the automatic transmission on the latest Axia will change to D-CVT. Other info, all types are available with automatic transmission only. Meanwhile, the manual transmission option is only available on the E-Type or the lowest variant for now.

Daihatsu is reportedly still using the 1,000cc 1KR-VE engine in the latest Ayla because it needs to reduce development costs for the latest model and an affordable retail price.

When will it launch in Indonesia?

For almost a decade, Daihatsu Ayla has maintained a similar basis with two facelifts taking place in 2017 and 2020. However, there have reportedly been various changes considering the Perodua Axia came first in Malaysia.

Customers in Indonesia may have better luck as the latest generation Daihatsu Ayla has two engine options, namely the 1,000cc turbocharged 1KR-VET and the 1,200cc WA-VE. So just wait for the game date and surprises from Daihatsu in 2023.

According to Astra Daihatsu Motor in a recent Media Gathering, it has yet to comment further on the next generation Ayla.
