As reported by Carscoops on Thursday (9/22/2022), the US National Highway Safety Agency or NHTSA said the problem with the door window trim not being installed correctly presented a fairly fatal risk. Because when the car is running, this rear window trim can peel off and, of course, endanger not only the car owner, but also the people around him.

So Mercedes-Benz stated that the risk of an accident causing fatal injuries is also very possible. “What happened is certainly very concerning, so whether we like it or not we were forced to make this recall because the problematic rear door trim is one of the important parts of the car,” said Mercedes-Benz.
