Hyundai Ioniq 6 Indian version
As quoted by Autocar India on Thursday (12/1/2022), the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is still based on the Hyundai Prophecy concept car that was featured several years ago. Gurata, a sedan that looks like a coupe car, is also kept from the version introduced last year.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 itself is actually on the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The platform, known as E-GMP or Electric Global Multi Platform, was in fact created from the outset specifically to produce pure electric cars.
One of the advantages of this car is the drag coefficient which reaches 0.21. The drag coefficient makes the aerodynamics and design of this car very attractive. As well as several comprehensive features such as full LED lights outside, a 12-inch screen connecting the instrument and head unit as well as the center console inside which is also presented in the Indian version of Ioniq 6.
As for the transmission, the Indian version of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is still available with 2 variant options. The first is the Standard Range variant which uses a 53 kWh battery, while the Long Range uses a 77 kWh battery. As well as for the rear-wheel drive Standard Range with 1 electric motor. Meanwhile, the Long Range uses 2 electric motors with all-wheel drive.
For the mileage itself, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 itself is also very impressive. The RWD variant with a 53 kWh battery can travel up to 429 km, while with a 77 kWh battery it can travel up to 614 km. Meanwhile, the AWD variant with a 77 kWh battery can travel up to 538 km according to WLTP tests.
In addition to showcasing the Ioniq 6, Hyundai also showcased its latest generation of ADAS technology at Auto Expo 2023. And don’t miss the latest mobility services such as BluLink, also shown by Hyundai at this event.
With several neighboring countries already starting to join, it’s actually only a matter of time before the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is unveiled in Indonesia.
Indeed, this car has the opportunity to be produced at the brand new Hyundai Indonesia plant in Cikarang area, which also produced the Ioniq 5. Is it possible that the iONIQ 6 will be there this year?
