Waving red and white flags, Veda conquers the highest podium of the IATC Racing Championship

Thailand, – The PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) sponsored riders took the highest podium in the second race of the fourth series of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) accompanied by the echo of the Indonesia Raya anthem at Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand (1 / 10). This record of results complements his successes in the first race with the second podium.

In the first race held on Saturday (1/10), Veda Ega Pratama started from 4th position. From the start of the race, the 13-year-old managed to dominate the first position from lap 11, but unfortunately on the last lap he was wide at the last corner so he had to be willing to finish in second position.

Veda’s teammates Aan Riswanto and Reykat Yusuf Fadillah, who started from 7th and 14th place, were in the second group and had to work hard against 5 other riders to fight for 5th place. Until the end of the race, Reykat managed to finish in 9th position and Aan in 11th position. Meanwhile Muhammad Diandra Trihardika, who started from 16th position, was unable to finish the race due to engine problems.

The second race took place on Sunday (2/10) in cloudy weather and a slightly wet track. All the riders trained by the Astra Honda Racing School (AHRS) performed impressively and managed to finish in the top 10. Learning from the mistakes of the previous race, Veda, who had slipped up to 9th position, managed slowly and constantly entering the front row.

The dominance of the first position started from the 8th lap and he was able to leave the other drivers 7 seconds from the finish. This result brings Veda to 5th place in the standings with 71 points.

“Alhamdulillah, the second race went according to my goal. After the start I focused on maintaining the pace and distance in the group, at the right moment I tried to press and maintain a steady pace that widened the distance until I finished in first position. I am very happy with this result, I thank my supporters and the Indonesian people who always pray for me ”, said Veda.

Aan Riswanto and Reykat Yusuf Fadillah also presented an impressive run in the second race. Be in the second group by competing with 3 other riders for 4th position. Until the end of the race, Aan managed to finish in 6th position while Reykat finished in 8th position.

This position was followed by Muhammad Diandra Trihardika who finished 10th. With this result, Reykat managed to finish 7th by collecting 53 points in the standings, Aan finished 13th with 30 points and Diandra finished 15th with 28 points out of 23 drivers participating in the IATC 2022 championship.

The riders will return to participate in the fifth round at the Sepang International Circuit on Sunday (23-24 / 10/2022).
