Autos.id – At the international automotive exhibition, EICMA 2022, which will be held from November 8 to 13, 2022, Kawasaki unveiled two new electric motorcycles, each carrying a fairinge naked.
Kawasaki Motors Corporation president Hiroshi Ito explained that this so-called eco-friendly motorcycle is still in prototype form. Meanwhile, the design itself is taken from the Ninja series and Z series.
Reported by Quick weekthe two electric motors developed by Kawasaki have a dual battery with a capacity of 3 kWh and will go on sale next year.
Although the battery has been revealed, Kawasaki has yet to provide the full specs of these two bikes. At a glance, the design is very similar to conventional ICE motorcycles (Internal combustion engine). Meanwhile, the electric motorcycle made by Kawasaki still uses power transmission with components Gear and also chains.
On the same occasion, Kawasaki also showed off a motorcycle prototype hybrid which appears to be a ‘bridge’ for consumers who want to switch from conventional to electric cars. Based on the same source, the Kawasakit-manufactured hybrid motorcycle is expected to be officially launched in 2024.
At the EICMA show, Kawasaki proudly displayed an electric tricycle called “Noslisu” and an experimental hydrogen engine based on the Ninja H2. As additional information, this hydrogen engine is based on technology direct injection with compressed hydrogen gas.
Seeing Kawasaki’s vision to market green motorcycles in the future, Hiroshi Ito ensures that Kawasaki is still committed to internal combustion engine motorcycles. However, Kawasaki is still pursuing research related to alternatives to fossil fuels.
In fact, Kawasaki reportedly wants to introduce around 30 conventional motorcycle models by 2025, half of which will be developed in compliance with European regulations.
