Nine APMs participate in GIIAS Medan 2022

GIIAS MEDAN 2022 Officially inaugurated by the Governor of North Sumatra

Medan, Autos.id – The GIIAS Medan 2022 event was officially opened on Wednesday 5 October 2022. This largest auto show was officially opened by North Sumatra Governor, Edy Rahmayadi, who was accompanied by the North Sumatra Province Regional Secretary, Head of Industry North Sumatra Province and Trade Bureau and Head of the North Sumatra Province Economic Bureau.

Yohannes Nangoi, GAIKINDO’s general president, expressed his hopes for the domestic auto industry in his speech, particularly in North Sumatra.

“We hope GIIAS Medan 2022 will once again provide a significant boost to the achievements of the North Sumatran and domestic auto industry,” said Nangoi.

North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi in his remarks at the opening of the GIIAS Medan 2022 exhibition congratulated and was successful and thanked GAIKINDO for holding the auto show in North Sumatra. “We wish you success and development for the automotive industry and spoil our staff even more. I am sure that the more prosperous we are, the more we can enjoy modernizing our car in Indonesia,” concluded Edy Rahmayadi.

A total of 8 passenger vehicle brands participating in the GIIAS Medan 2022 event include Daihatsu, DFSK, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi Motors, Toyota and Wuling. Attendees will present various vehicles with the latest technology, including electric motor vehicles. There were also various supporting auto industries, one of which was the Honda motorcycle brand, which is believed to also attract the attention of the people of North Sumatra, especially the city of Medan.

GIIAS Medan 2022 has various activities that the people of Medan can participate in, including test drives and meetings of national communities and influencers. Visitors who cannot attend the GIIAS exhibition area in person can take advantage of a free virtual tour of the exhibition through the Auto360 application, already available on the Appstore and Playstore.

GIIAS Medan 2022 will take place from 5 to 9 October 2022 at the Santika Convention Center. Visitors wishing to see various vehicles with the latest technologies can purchase entrance tickets at the ticket office available at the GIIAS Medan 2022 exhibition area. The price of the entrance ticket is Rp. 10,000, – for weekdays (Wednesday – Friday) and Rp. 15.000, – for the weekend (Saturday – Sunday).
