Starting at IDR 414 million, 6-seater Kia Carens with Captain Seat is released

PT KIA has introduced its latest addition to the range, namely the 6-seater Kia Carens 1.5L IVT with captain’s seats and sunroof for a more luxurious look.

PT Kreta Indo Artha (KIA) completes its line of passenger cars with the presence of the latest type of Kia Carens. This medium MPV gets a new variant with more comfortable captain’s seats through the 6-seat Kia Carens 1.5L IVT type which provides another alternative for Indonesian family cars.

6 seater edition

After introducing the 7-seater 1.5L Carens and 6-seater 1.4T, Kia fans in Indonesia have a new choice. The 6-seat Carens 1.5L IVT offers a premium drive with all the signature Kia features.

While the 1.5L type was previously available with 7 seats, this time the type offers a captain’s seat on the second row bench seat. It features a luxurious and premium look, especially since all types of Carens have received sunroof and wireless charger or wireless charging capabilities.

The latest type of Carens 1.5L 6 seater is equipped with a captain’s seat

It’s even more sophisticated because the second row of seats features one-touch fumble, where the seats will fold instantly when the consumer presses the top button. Offers a more practical arrangement for third row seats.

“We always try to meet the needs of consumers in Indonesia by presenting suitable and high-value products,” explained Ario Soerjo, head of marketing and development division of PT Kreta Indo Artha, in his official statement.

The features are still fascinating

The Kia Carens itself is a sporty style MPV that offers unique Kia style on the outside. Including the front with a touch of Kia Signature Tiger and Digital Radiator Grille and 16-inch diameter wheels.

Inside, other features include an 8.0-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, three driving modes (Normal, Eco and Sport) and the Idle Stop & Go function that works to improve fuel efficiency during the driving. Type-C charging is also present in all seat rows to increase driving convenience.

Apart from the seats, there is no significant difference with the 7-seater type

There is no significant difference between the 6-seater 1.5L IVT and the 6-seater 1.4T. However, this new model features a 1.5-litre Smartstream Gamma II engine with an output of 115PS at 6,300rpm and maximum torque of 144Nm at 4,500rpm, mated to an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) with 8 speeds.

The price for the 6-seat Kia Carens 1.5L IVT starts at IDR 414,600,000, or IDR 7 million more than the 7-seat type. Thereafter, the Kia Carens 1.4T 6-seater priced at IDR 467,000,000 will still be marketed, but through spot orders for consumers who want this turbocharged model.
