Suzuki Boyong Ignis at IIMS 2023, there are still fans

ROCKMOTIVE, Jakarta – PT Suzuki Indomobile Sales (PT SIS) appeared on Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2023 bringing all of its superior products, starting with the new SUV Grand Vitara Until S-Presso new, Ertiga AND XL7 Until Suzuki Ignis.

Although Suzuki introduces the S-Presso for Indonesian consumers, even at the IIMS event this time it received refreshments in terms of safety, according to PT SIS the existence of the S-Presso does not interfere with the sales of Suzuki Ignis. That’s why SIS is still presenting the Suzuki Ignis at the IIMS event.

According to Harold Donnel, Head of Brand Development & Marketing Research 4W PT SIS, the presence of S-Presso does not necessarily eliminate interest in Ignis. According to him, these two cars have their respective enthusiasts, because the models are also quite different.

“The design of the Ignis is more oriented towards a compact crossover, while the S-Presso is more towards a city car with a design towards a small SUV,” Harold explained at the Suzuki stand on Wednesday (23/2/2023).

Harold also added that the buyer characteristics of the Ignis and S-Presso are quite different. For the S-Presso itself, Suzuki was also quite surprised because the response from S-Presso buyers was that of those who had never owned a Suzuki vehicle before and chose to switch to the Suzuki brand for their second vehicle.

“So about 40% of S-Presso buyers were first-time Suzuki car buyers, but the car was used as a second car, not a primary car. Meanwhile, for Ignis, the character of most buyers is that of first-time buyers, where Ignis is their first car,” he explained.

The Suzuki Ignis presented at the IIMS is also without modifications, it is still the same Ignis from three years ago that has received the latest update.

“Suzuki Ignis is still in demand. In the regions, the market is quite stable, so we don’t discriminate,” said Harold Donnel, Head of Brand Development & Marketing Research 4W PT SIS.
