Toyota updates Yaris without a ceremony, see what’s changed

ROCKMOTIVE, Jakarta – Toyota finally providing an update on its flagship hatchback model Toyota Yari. For this latest model, PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has made several changes to the exterior and interior of this car, which has sold more than 10 million units worldwide.

In the Indonesian market, Toyota Yari itself exists for the first time since 2006 and as of March 2023 has sold a total of more than 211 thousand units (wholesale). For the price itself, the latter Yaris retails for IDR 326.1 million to IDR 349 ​​million.

“Obviously we are very grateful to the customers, especially the younger generations, who have passed on the Yaris from generation to generation as a sedan they can rely on to meet their diverse mobility needs. We are again making improvements to the Yaris so that it can meet customers’ growing mobility needs, always have a young soul and a different look,” PT Toyota-Astra Motor marketing director Anton Jimmi Suwandy said in his official statement.

The latest modifications to the 2023 Toyota Yaris are claimed to provide an agile driving character and sense of excitement that has now morphed into a sportier one, making it suitable for those who are young at heart and want to be different.

What are the changes

The latest Toyota Yaris is now sportier through the use of Black Grill Color and has a new color option (two tone) to complement the existing color choices. There are six color choices Super White II, Attitude Black Mica and Gray Mica. Meanwhile, for the two tone options, there are combinations of Black + Super White II, Black + Red Mica Metallic and Black + Citrus Mica Metallic.

Stepping into the interior, this new sedan features a new advanced infotainment system that can be connected to a smartphone. So the screen size of the head unit is now bigger from 7 inch to 9 inch Audio + AACP and 9 inch Audio HU Opening Cluster.

To increase the comfort of the driver and passengers, improvements have been made to the upholstery material: now the Toyota New Yaris uses half fabric, half leather for the variant with three airbags and all leather for the variant with seven airbags.

In addition, Toyota provides a panoramic view monitoring function that is capable of displaying a view of the vehicle on the navigation system screen. This feature makes maneuvering on narrow roads easier.
